Membership Terms and Conditions​

NOT-FOR-PROFIT SUBSCRIPTION MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT SoS (registered as Society of Saleswomen) ("Company"), a not-for-profit entity organized under the laws of California, enters into Membership Agreement with Subscriber “Member”

 

  1. MEMBER'S RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS a. Payment. Member agrees to pay to SoS an annual membership fee, determined in accordance with the membership fee schedule, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein, as it may be amended from time to time at the beginning of a new membership year. The first annual payment shall be due upon execution of this Agreement. Subsequent payments shall be due on the anniversary of each year thereafter, unless Member cancels its membership, or SoS notifies Member that SoS has been dissolved or is no longer offering not-for-profit memberships generally. Each membership year shall commence on initial payment and end 365 days later. Membership fees are non-refundable. b. License. In consideration of the annual membership fee, Member shall have access to use for education and/or non-commercial research purposes all materials which it receives from SoS under this Agreement. Further, to the extent permitted by law, including federal and state copyright laws, and, if applicable, by any necessary user agreements described in Section 1 (c) below, Member may incorporate portions of the SoS Content into its own work and life for its internal non-commercial use. Unless explicitly permitted herein, Member shall have no right to copy, redistribute, transmit, publish or otherwise use the SoS material for any other purpose. Member shall give appropriate reference to these resources in scholarly publications whenever data resources are mentioned. Additional licensing terms for this Agreement and description of Membership options are specified in Exhibit A which may be amended from time to time at the beginning of a new membership year. c. User Agreements. In order to receive certain SoS Databases, Member shall restrict use of these Databases to only themselves. If others seek access to the specified Databases and content, they will have signed any necessary separate user agreements. d. Indemnity. Member shall defend, indemnify and hold harmless Sos (Registered Society of Saleswomen), its employees, trustees, officers, and agents ("Indemnified Persons") from and against any and all liability, claims, lawsuits, losses, damages, costs or expenses (including attorneys' fees) which the Indemnified Persons may hereafter incur, suffer or be required to pay by reason of any use of the SoS content by Member, its employees, directors, officers or agents which violates this Agreement, any user agreements, or any laws, including federal and state copyright laws.

  2.  SOS MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR CONFORMITY WITH WHATEVER DOCUMENTATION IS PROVIDED. IN NO EVENT SHALL SOS, ITS HOST INSTITUTION, ITS DATA PROVIDERS OR AUTHORS BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, DIRECT, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL OR OTHER DAMAGES, LOSSES, COSTS, CHARGES, CLAIMS, DEMANDS, FEES OR EXPENSES OF ANY NATURE OR KIND ARISING IN ANY WAY FROM THE FURNISHING OF OR MEMBER'S USE OF SOS CONTENT RECEIVED.

  3. ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS a. Notices. All notices required under this Agreement shall be in writing, prepaid first class, certified or registered mail, return receipt requested, as follows: SoS 9190 W Olympic Blvd #327, Beverly Hills, CA 90212 b. Authorized Signatures. Member represents that it is agreeing to MEMBER TERMS & CONDITIONS

  4. Exhibit A: Membership and License Terms and Fees Yearly membership fees for SoS have been set as follows according to membership type: Annual Membership: $48 per calendar year. Standard Member is entitled to all benefits of membership including access to website and content, community, events, reduced ticket prices, priority RSVP, and welcome gift during the Membership Year, as outlined below in Section 5. Annual fee will auto renew each 365 days and has no refund. To cancel, simply unsubscribe and your renewal will not take place.  Monthly Subscription Membership: $4.99 per month, for 12 months continuous. Subscription Member is entitled to all benefits of membership including access to website and content, community, events, reduced ticket prices, priority RSVP, and welcome gift during the Membership Year, as outlined below in Section 5. Subscription fee will auto renew each month and has no refund. Subscription may be canceled any time. To cancel, simply unsubscribe and your renewal will end after month 12. Membership Fees pay for the operations expenses of the organization. No volunteers or Board Members take any payment or compensation. For questions, please contact info@joinsos.org

5. INCLUDED IN MEMBERSHIP:

  1. Unlimited Table for 6 Events – this references any event labeled “Table for 6” or “Table for X” can be attended for free. Non-Members will pay $10 to attend event. 

  2. Priority RSVP/Discounted Event, Workshop, and Retreat Tickets – this references events outside of “Table for X” that include a ticket price. Members will receive a % discount as a member for purchasing an event or workshop ticket, or retreat booking. 

  3. Monthly SoS Newsletter – the Newsletter will be delivered via email. 

  4. Monthly Connection- Through either events digital or in-person, via email, or via Slack/Forum on Wix App. 

  5. Social Media Spotlight, including IG Live Interview – opportunity to be highlighted and show cased on Social media and website. Requirements are a pre-call, headshot, and questionnaire.

  6. Curated Content – Members will have access to Video library which includes subject matter specific content and playbacks of past events. 

  7. The SoS List – curated Clearinghouse list of resources and connections for our members. 

  8. Slack Community – Access to private SoS slack community

  9. Book Club- Ability to join SoS Bookclub (if operating)

  10. Welcome gift – small nominal gift sent to new members

  11. Mastermind Session – is available to subscribers who pay annual fee in one payment. It is completely optional, you must sign up to join the Mastermind session to participate.
