Society of Saleswomen Celebrates Male Allies and #Manvember

SOS turns its attention to male allies this month with #Manvember and the “Manel” event.
[Los Angeles, California] — An Xactly study found that women make up only 26 percent of the sales managers across most industries, despite outperforming men. While Society of Saleswomen exists to support women, the organization values the voices of male allies in the conversation. One month of every year, SOS turns the mic over to men in sales leadership positions for an important, frank conversation about the workplace men and women share and what they hope it will become in the future.
To this end, the “Manel” (Man Panel) will take place from November 17, 2021, from 6 to 7 p.m. on Zoom. The event will feature three male sales leaders including Darren Nolander, a VP at American Pacific Mortgage, Michael McComb, a VP at Pitney Bowes, and Paco Flores, a Senior Strategic Sales Manager at Wex.
The men will be put in the “warm seat” for a friendly and frank discussion about the ways men can promote, empower, unite, and connect women across all sales and business disciplines. Ultimately, the event, and the broader month-long SOS dialogue, aim to empower both men and women to recognize, address, and cultivate empathy for issues of equity in their organizations.
