What is SOS?

SOS is a one day event on July 11th, 2009. People from four different churches in our city will be joining forces to serve our community. We'll be working on different projects at our local public schools and parks throughout the city (everything from painting to cleaning). Check out the projects below.

How do I get involved?

It's easy. Simply choose the project below where you'd like to serve and signup. But you'd better hurry because each church has a limited number of spaces available for each project.

And don't forget to buy your t-shirt.

What is SOS?

What types of projects are available?

Check out the list of available projects for project locations and descriptions.

I signed up. Now what?

Attend the volunteer meeting on June 25th at 7pm at Valley Assembly to find out more info about your selected project. And don't forget to order your t-shirt.

What time do the projects start?

You should arrive at your project location at 7:30am on July 11th, 2009. Work will begin promptly at 8:00am.

How many hours will my project last?

That depends on the project you choose. Check the project descriptions for the number of hours we estimate each project will take to complete.

Do I need to buy a t-shirt?

We're asking everyone participating in a project to buy an SOS t-shirt and wear it to the project on July 11th.

I'm under 18. Can I volunteer?

For liability reasons, all volunteers must be 18 years or older.

I signed up but can't make it.

What should I do? Let us know ASAP so we can open up your spot for someone else to volunteer.

What's happening on July 12th?

All four churches are having an outdoor celebration service at 8:30pm on Sunday, July 12th, at Valley Real Life. Everyone is invited (even if you weren't able to participate in the projects on July 11th). Join us and be sure to wear your SOS t-shirts!
